According to insider Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra will get a 200MP periscope camera capable of zooming in up to 4.3x. That's beyond the 3x zoom that the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro reportedly feature.
Xiaomi has yet to officially announce the Xiaomi 15 series but it won't be long. Of course, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has the most extensive specifications and that includes a large zoom camera. If this rumor is true then Xiaomi certainly does not disappoint.
The 15 Ultra, according to reports on Weibo, features a periscope camera with 100mm zoom lens that can zoom in up to 4.3x. On the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the periscope camera still used a 50MP large sensor. Although this one thus has fewer pixels, it did allow for further zooming; up to 5x.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra launch
In addition to a periscope camera, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature another zoom lens, this time with a 3x zoom. Inside, it will no doubt use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (also known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4). It is possible that the announcement of the Ultra will follow later than the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. Thought to be in early 2025.
