Its existence was already known, and now its imagery and specifications are known as well. We're talking about the Fairphone 4. The largely recycled smartphone made out of fair materials and the first Fairphone with 5G support.
What's clear from the photos is that the screen edges have been dealt with. Fairphone is using a notch to incorporate the selfie camera instead of opting for a more subtle hole punch. The screen of the Fairphone 4 measures 6.3 inches which results in significantly more surface area than the 5.65 inches of the Fairphone 3+.
The RAM memory goes up from 4 to 6GB and there will be variants available with 128 and 256GB of storage memory. The previous model was only available with 64GB. The price is also going up. A single unit is estimated at 600 euros. It will be available in gray or green. Furthermore, we see 3 camera cutouts on the back although it seems that only 2 of them are occupied.

What will presumably remain is the high degree to repair and replace parts yourself. For example, Fairphone doesn't supply a charger but a screwdriver instead. Hopefully it has also done something about the dated chipset. The Fairphone 3 and 3+ are not exactly the fastest phones on the market. They don't have to be but it would be nice if they could at least keep up. We are now waiting for an announcement. This will probably not take long.
