Samsung is currently preparing a successor to the popular Samsung Galaxy A55. This 5G phone competes against the Snapdragon 7 series with its Exynos 1480 processor. The upcoming Galaxy A56 promises to be a lot more powerful thanks to its Exynos 1580.
We can best compare the aforementioned Exynos 1580 processor from the Samsung Galaxy A56 to the Snapdragon 888. Those are serious speeds for a mid-range phone. Something the A56 promises to be.
Images of the Galaxy A56 are not yet in, other than some specifications and the type number SM-A566. We can already reveal that the device features Dual SIM functionality.
Exynos 1580
The Galaxy A5 series is among one of Samsung's best-selling models. And by equipping these very models with a home-made chip, Samsung manages to keep costs down. The Exynos 1580 has yet to be officially announced by Samsung but it is likely to consist of eight cores.
If previous years are any indication we expect the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G to be announced in March of 2025. Before then, we hope to provide you with images, but when exactly they will follow is impossible to say.
