Google shares render Pixel 8 Pro, confirms temperature sensor

The most reliable news source is from the manufacturer itself. And that is why we are so pleased with this latest rumor about the Google Pixel 8 Pro. It comes directly from the source. Google accidentally shared a render of the still unannounced Pixel 8 Pro and confirmed some specifications.

Google will most likely announce the Pixel 8 Pro along with the Pixel 8 on Oct. 4, 2023. That's when Google will hold its annual Made By Google event. This will also kick off Android 14.

Google has never been good at keeping future products a secret. Every year, the latest generation of Pixel phones leaks out, and this year is no exception. Google is often guilty of this itself, sometimes intentionally and sometimes accidentally. The images now released of the Pixel 8 Pro appear to fall into the latter category.

Pixel Simulator

This time, the Google Pixel 8 Pro appeared on Google's Pixel Simulator. This website allows people to get further acquainted with certain Pixel phones. The page has since disappeared, but not before someone captured screenshots.

The colors in which the Pixel 8 Pro will come out are 'Sky Blue,' 'Porcelain White,' and 'Licorice Black.' A new sensor, which was already expected, is a temperature sensor. It lets you measure your body temperature by bringing the device close to your forehead. You may be able to diagnose certain diseases with this, although the actual reason for the sensor remains to be seen.
