Eight months after announcing the Samsung Galaxy S24, the S24+ and the S24 Ultra, Samsung completes the S24 series with the introduction of the Galaxy S24 FE. This is the first Fan Edition phone with Galaxy AI and also the largest ever made by Samsung.
Samsung built the Galaxy S24 FE with a 6.7-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz display. Never before has an FE phone received such a large screen. The brightness also goes up, to arrive at 1900 nits.
This screen should be ideal for using Galaxy AI features. These include Circle-to-Search, Interpreter, Live Translate, Composer and Note Assist. We previously saw these features on the S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra.
Bigger battery, bigger screen
Compared to the S23 FE from a year ago, the S24 Fan Edition gets a larger battery of 4700 mAh. It is still fast charging with up to 25W wired, and 15W wireless.
The large size of the S24 FE makes it a cheaper alternative to the S24+ rather than the entry-level S24. Both feature virtually the same chipset although the Eynox 2400e chipset in the FE is clocked slightly lower.
Available immediately
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is on sale immediately and carries a suggested retail price of 749 euros. Available colors are Blue, Graphite, Mint and Yellow. Samsung says nothing about the light gray version that we do see in the press materials.
Early buyers will temporarily receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ tablet as a gift. This promotion runs until October 20, 2024.
