Samsung appears to be on the verge of announcing the Galaxy A16 5G soon. Official-looking product renders of that still unannounced device appeared on AndroidHeadlines. We see differences from its predecessor but also a familiar design.
For example, the buttons on the right of the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G raised what Samsung calls the "Key Island. We have since seen this design on many other Galaxy A models including the A15 and A25 5G.
Still, the Galaxy A16 5G features a U-shaped notch but Samsung does apply a thinner display bezels at the top. There is still a chin at the bottom, indicating that this phone is in the cheaper segment.
Galaxy A16 5G specifications
The budget A16 5G will get three cameras on the back whose resolutions are still unknown. Inside is believed to be a 5000 mAh battery, enough for a carefree day of use. In addition to this A16 5G, a 4G version also seems to be in the works, just like last year.
Despite press images of the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G being ready, an announcement seems to be a while away. The A15 5G was announced in December which at the time of writing is still several months away.
