Photos have emerged from an approval agency in Brazil showing the as-yet-unannounced Galaxy A05. This Samsung device promises to be one of the most inexpensive Galaxy phones, and seems rather sensitive to fingerprints.
Photos of the Galaxy A05 were discovered by the sleuths of Tecnoblog. Before a phone can be released in a country, it must be approved, and that seems to have now happened for the Brazilian market.
This allows us to get a glimpse of the Samsung Galaxy A05 even before it has been announced. Furthermore, the photos tell us that this is a dual-camera phone, just like the Galaxy A04, with a U-shaped notch at the front for the selfie camera. The source thinks Samsung uses a more modern-looking punch-hole, but we beg to differ.
Prone to fingerprint smudges
The reasonably large bezel at the bottom of the screen betrays the character of the A05, a simple device with an inexpensive price tag. Just like all its predecessors and also revealed by its low type number. This is not a bad thing at all because Samsung makes some good phones in this price range as well. The only pity is the choice of what looks like a glossy back cover. With this, the A05 promises to be a magnet to fingerprints.
Price and availability
When Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy A05 is still unknown. The device does not support 5G, so Samsung will not be ready to announce it here soon. When it does, we estimate the price to be around 170 euros, just like its predecessor.
