Lenovo is expanding the Motorola edge series with the edge 40 neo. This stylish device has several versions, including one with a Vegan Leather back cover and exclusive Pantone colors.
Compared to its predecessor, the edge 30 neo, this edge 40 neo is a considerable step forwards. For example, like other edge models, the screen is now slightly curved. This results in a fancier look. But the differences don't stop at looks.
For example, the battery is considerably larger (5000 instead of 4020 mAh), and the casing is many times more waterproof (IP68 instead of IP52). The screen size is 6.55 inches with an AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The screen refresh rate also goes up. Although at 120 Hz, it was hardly slow. However, on the edge 40 neo, it is now 144 Hz. Screen animations look (even) smoother as a result.
50MP Ultrapixel camera
On paper, the edge 40 neo gets a lower-resolution camera of 50MP. In practice, Lenovo says it still delivers better results by applying a larger sensor with all-pixel-focus technology. Because all pixels participate in focusing, it is 16x faster during low-light scenarios.
CO2 offset
Lenovo is trying to do something about CO2 emissions by offsetting CO2 emissions in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) markets. From the press release, we gather that this is only during its average life cycle, possibly referring to the expected power consumption. The device comes in plastic-free packaging made of soy ink and partially recycled cardboard. Inside the box, in addition to the device, you will find a 100% plant-based case from Agood Company.
