Mark Gurman of Bloomberg knows for sure: Apple will announce the new iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max on Sept. 10. The devices will be in stores a week later.
Apple itself has yet to mail out the invitations for the iPhone 16 launch, but according to Mark Gurman, we can already keep September 10 free. Then Apple will showcase the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Apple CEO Tim CookThat same day, the phones can be ordered, and the first units will be delivered the following week. Gurman is thinking about Friday, Sept. 20. This is common with new iPhones. Apple has scheduled a mandatory meeting for store employes. They will be updated Sept. 12 or 13 on the key pluses.
New Apple Watch and AirPods
In addition to the iPhone 16 models, Apple may also announce a new Apple Watch and AirPods. There are also rumors of an imminent refresh of the Mac Mini but it is expected at another time.
An important part of the new iPhone series will be Apple Intelligence; Apple's own AI features. This may be expected to be fitted from iOS 18.1 and will be rolled out as an update later.
