Nokia G50 promotional video posted too soon

A promo video of the Nokia G50 5G has surfaced even before the device is officially announced. That seems to be a mistake but very costly at the same time. The device is now completely out in the open.

In the video secured by NokiaPowerUser, we see the Nokia G50 from both the front and the back. The original video was immediately taken offline after discovering the error. The whole video takes 5 seconds but the damage has been done. We see a device with V-shaped notch and on the back a triple camera of at least 48MP.

This seems to be a device from the so called lower-cost segment. It also seems to be the first 5G phone from Nokia's new G-Series. Possibly, as with the G10 and G20 the fingerprint scanner sits on the side of the device. The Instagram post from Nokia France that included the video further stated that the Nokia G50 has a battery life of one day. That would be remarkable; all other Nokia G-phones distinguish themselves by a battery life of several days.

Nokia G50 retail price

Other specifications of the G50 5G are a Snapdragon 480 processor with at least 4GB of RAM memory (RAM) and 64 or 128 GB of storage memory (ROM). Available colors are Blue and Midnight Sun and the possible retail price is £207.56. Converted to euros that makes € 240. The wait now is for an official announcement from HMD Global. That is the company that brings us phones under the name Nokia.
