Customers of KPN, Vodafone and Odido are currently reporting massive problems with mobile calling. Whether the problem is simultaneous among the three networks is unclear. In any case, KPN reports that it is experiencing network problems that make it impossible to make calls.
Allestoringen.nl shows that the problems are happening to customers of KPN, Vodafone and Odido. This does not necessarily mean that all three telecom networks are experiencing simultaneous outages. Of KPN this is well certain, Vodafone and Odido do not yet indicate they are experiencing problems.
The problems arose around 9 a.m. this morning and appear to be affecting all of the Netherlands. MVNOs and customers using the KPN network are also reporting problems including Simyo, BudgetMobile, Youfone and Lebara. When the problem will be fixed is still unknown. Mobile Internet seems to be working for now.
Problems elsewhere as well
KPN is not the only one facing a failure today, the P2000 and C2000 networks are also down. These communication networks are used for emergency services to communicate with each other. Systems are also down at Eindhoven Airport and the Ministry of Defense. Whether the failures are related is unknown.
