In addition to the Oppo Reno12, Oppo also released the slightly less comprehensive Reno12 F. And now Oppo has also announced the Reno12 FS which at first glance is exactly the same.
Oppo has made little effort to differentiate between the Oppo Reno12 FS and the Reno12 F. Both look the same and Oppo uses the same imagery for both. Also notable; both use the same type number CPH2637. What's going on here?
Not only does it look like both phones are similar, they are similar. With the only difference being that you can get the Oppo Reno12 F in a 128 GB and 256 GB version, while the Reno12 FS is only available with 256 GB.
Mistake or intentional?
It seems that Oppo wants to clearly distinguish between the model with 128 and 256 GB of storage but in doing so it creates quite a bit of confusion. It could also be a deliberate strategy to saturate the market with only so many different models.
Currently, the Oppo Reno12 FS is available for preorder while the Reno12 F is still waiting. The suggested retail price is €379, so for that you get 256 GB of storage and a whopping 12 GB of RAM memory. The available colors are Amber Orange and Olive Green.
