The vertically folding Xiaomi Mix Flip, with its 4-inch large cover screen, will be released outside of China after all. The Mix Flip will get a limited European launch with at least 5 countries in Eastern and Central Europe selected.
Xiaomi unveiled the Mix Flip along with the Mix Fold 4 on July 19 at an event at ShouGang Stadium in China. The Fold 4 can be unfolded horizontally, while the Flip is the first Xiaomi to fold vertically.
And with its 4.01-inch cover screen, the Xiaomi Mix Flip immediately stands out. By comparison; the screen on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 measures a diagonal of 3.4 inches. Xiaomi also managed to spoon a relatively large battery into the Flip; a 4780 mAh variant. Xiaomi leaves the 4000 mAh battery of the Samsung Flip6 far behind.
Also outside China
Although both phones were initially announced for the Chinese market, the Mix Flip is now coming out there as well. At least in about five European countries located in Eastern and Central Europe. Whether the device will also come to Western Europe we don't know yet, we asked Xiaomi questions about that.
Xiaomi Mix Flip recommended retail price
The Chinese version of the Mix Flip was given a converted recommended retail price of around 760 euros. Those who think they have found a cheap alternative to the Samsung Z Flip will be disappointed. The European version should cost around 1330 euros.
