Samsung bets on mass production of Exynos 2500, perhaps for Galaxy S25

There is renewed hope for the Exynos 2500 processor. This 3nm-based chip should be a formidable competitor to the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. It was long thought that production would not get up to speed prematurely for use in the Galaxy S25 series.

In an explanation of its quarterly figures, Samsung mentioned for the first time the existence of the Exynos 2500. This chip, like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, is baked on 3nm, although they come from different factories.

Samsung mentions Exynos 2500 processor for flagship products

Samsung says the part responsible for manufacturing the Exynos 2500 is making every effort to make enough copies for flagship products. By this, Samsung is probably referring to the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus. The S25 Ultra will most likely use a Qualcomm chip.

Exynos 2500

The Exynos 2500 has not previously been officially named by Samsung, nor has it been detailed yet. The previous Exynos processor in a Galaxy S phone was the Exynos 2400 in the Galaxy S24. The Galaxy S23 used a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

By the way, the Exynos 2500 is not the company's first 3nm chip, the Exynos W1000 preceded it. We find this chip in the Galaxy Watch 7 series, among others.
