Froyo JavaScript execution faster than iPhone
Investigation by Ars Technica demonstrates that Adroid 2.2 Froyo executes JavaScript faster than iOS4, the new operating system for iPhone. To measure JavaScript rendering speed, the website did two different tests.
Both tests were won by Froyo. The technicians who preformed the test claimed Froyo is three times faster than iOS. For now, the latest Android release is only available for Google Nexus One. HTC is working on an update for its flagship Desire, and says all 2010 Android phones will be migrated as late as December 2010.
Nexus One versus iPhone 4
Beging the only Android 2.2 phone available, Ars Technica used Google Nexus One to measure the speed of Android. For iOS, they used an iPhone 4.
