The introduction of the iPhone 16 series is scheduled for next fall. It was already known that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will look slightly different. The camera module will be rotated a quarter turn so that the modules will now sit below each other instead of side by side. Something that can be clearly seen in these released dummies.
Apple innovation is sometimes hard to predict. One year it is unintentionally huge, the next laughably meaningless. Whether the iPhone 16 falls into that first or second category we'll leave to you. Rotating the cameras would be necessary to enable Spatial Video for playback on the Vision Pro.
Not only do we get images of the updated camera layout, but the colors displayed would also correspond to the final color options. This would mean that the iPhone 16 will have much more intense colors than the iPhone 15.
5 new colors
We are also going to see these five colors on the iPhone 16 Plus which means the yellow version will be dropped. The choice then falls to:
- White
- Black
- Blue
- Green
- Pink
Apple traditionally announces the next-generation iPhone in September. This year's lineup includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
In addition to new iPhones, this event will mark the starting point for the launch of iOS 18, which was supposed to bring many AI features to the iPhone but those features have been delayed until iOS 18.1.
