Official-looking renders Sony Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI arrive

If you are already curious to see what the Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI that Sony is going to announce on May 17 will look like, be sure to read on. Indeed, we have what looks like the official press renders of both devices. However, the devices do not look very different.

Sony is holding a press conference on May 17, 2024 where it will most likely announce this Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI. The former is the flagship full of all Sony technology, the latter a more affordable version of it.

Thanks to previously published material of the Sony Xperia 1 VI, we already know that the device will keep its top and bottom screen bezels. The screen ratios are changing, though. Instead of 20:9, those go to 19.5:9. That seems like a small difference but makes the device just a little less uncomfortable during use.

Xperia 1 VI specifications

Judging by the images, the Sony Xperia 1 Mark 6 will come in a cream-silver version and a gray/black variant. Inside, it is expected to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with 12 or 16GB of RAM memory.

The triple camera presumably consists of a 24mm main camera, 16mm ultra-wide angle and an 85-170mm telephoto with variable zoom.

For those for whom the likely €1000+ price tag for the 1 VI is too high, you can go for the Xperia 10 VI. It too features a continuous screen but with bezels at the top and bottom and a 3.5mm headphone port.

One less camera here, and the Carl Zeiss branding is also missing. Looking at the predecessors of the Xperia 10 VI, we suspect a price tag just above 400 euros. For the definitive answer, you'll have to wait until May 17. That's when Sony will announce both phones in Japan.
