We hear a date is mentioned when Samsung will announce the Fold 5 and Flip 5. It could just happen Wednesday, July 26. That's earlier than usual, but not by much.
Samsung has two new foldables to announce. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 are eager to introduce themselves to the general public. And now that Google has all the attention due to the launch of the Pixel Fold, it is now time to bring the spotlight back. And so, a bit earlier than usual, expect an Unpacked Event.
That Samsung would announce the Fold5 and Flip5 a bit earlier was already mentioned. Normally Samsung announces its latest Galaxy Z models in August, but this year, it will be at the end of July. That's two weeks earlier than usual. At least, thats what Korea's Chosun thinks.
Reason remains unclear
They predict Wednesday, July 26, as a possible launch date for Samsung's latest foldables. Sales will then begin Aug. 11. Chosun does not think the reason for this is so Samsung can compete directly with the Pixel Fold, as previously suggested, but to increase semiconductor sales.
Whether that is, the reason remains to be seen. The processor slated for the new Galaxy Z models is reportedly a Qualcomm Snapdragon made by competitor TSMC. It is also said that the sales of the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4 are disappointing. Perhaps that's the real reason.
