Insider Ice Universe has shared a photo showing part of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Specifically, it shows the screen bezels of this Samsung foldable expected in July 2024. But the photo tells us more.
We have to take @UniverseIce at his word that we are looking at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 below. No additional evidence is provided. We can see the top of the outer screen.
What stands out are the thin screen bezels, now common with Samsung, as well as the less rounded screen of the Fold 6. With the Fold 5, Samsung uses much rounder corners, creating a more distorted image.
Samsung Fold 6 compared to the Fold 5
A few days earlier, the same @UniverseIce published another portion of the screen. If we paste those two pictures together we can better compare it with the current Galaxy Z Fold 5.
We see right away that the Fold 6 will be a much more angular device than its predecessor. The thinner screen bezels are welcome but don't seem very much smaller. Also noticeable is that the hinge does not stick out as much. Samsung improves the hinge with each Fold generation.
Launching Fold 6
The wait now is @UniverseIce to publish new parts of his picture. Only then can we construct a new part of the puzzle. Previously, sources like this leak photos in their entirety so in that respect, it's a bit more cumbersome now.
We can also wait for Samsung to officially announce the Fold 6, along with the Flip 6. That will likely happen in July during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
