HTC seems to be coming out with another new mobile soon. Presumably the U24 Pro. This new mid-range model was found on several endorsement websites with which an announcement seems imminent.
Now opinions are divided whether this is the HTC U24 or the U24 Pro. As we know, HTC no longer makes high-end flagships so the Pro designation is somewhat misleading. Whatever it becomes, the device thus succeeds the U23 Pro from May 2023.
Meanwhile, references to the HTC U24 Pro have appeared on Google's Play Console website, at Bluetooth SIG and also Geekbench. As a result, not only do we know of its existence, but we also get an image and some specifications.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3
Thus, the HTC U24 Pro features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor (SM7550) with 12GB of RAM memory. The screen has an FHD+ resolution of 2436 x 1080 pixels and the device runs Android version 14. Unfortunately, we don't get a picture of the cameras used.
Looking more closely at the image, we see what looks like a headphone port on top. That alone should come as no surprise; the U23 Pro also features this 3.5mm port.
Whether the U24 Pro bears more resemblance to its predecessor will become apparent when HTC announces it. When that happens is still unclear, but given the amount of material coming out of it, we suspect it won't be long.
