The possible specifications of Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 6 have appeared on Twitter. What stands out is that Samsung has found even more room up front for a more extensive cover screen. However, the nearly 10% larger battery may be the most crucial difference.
@TheGalox_ published the list below, and it is unclear how final these specifications are. Or perhaps it is a wish list? Let's hope these are indeed the specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 because there's a lot that makes us happy.
- 3.9-inch coverscreen
- 6.7-inch screen inside
- Gorilla Glass Armor
- Improved hinge
- 50 + 12 MP camera
- 4000 mAh battery
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor with better cooling
- Version with 12 GB of RAM
- 7 years of updates, including Galaxy AI
4000 mAh large battery
What strikes us most about this is the nearly 10% larger battery of 4000 mAh. Limited battery life has been among the most significant objections to current Flip models. We are also curious how Samsung managed to fit a larger cover screen. Recall that the one on Flip 5 is still 3.4 inches tall. Previous renders did not show that the shape differs.
Gorilla Glass Armor
If the above listing becomes a reality, then this will also be the first phone after the S24 Ultra where Samsung uses the new Gorilla Glass Armor. With the Ultra, this was praised for its lower light reflection. With the Flip6, that won't be as spectacular because the glass is presumably only on the outside.
The list also has less pleasant points. For example, Samsung sticks to a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and lacks a separate telephoto camera for zooming. However, the primary camera does increase in resolution. It comes out at 50 MP instead of 12 MP.
