Samsung sticks with S Pen for Galaxy devices
Those who saw the launch of the Galaxy S25 Ultra last January, with its stripped-down S Pen support, might think that the stylus is no longer on Samsung's radar. The South Korean company wants to dispel that rumor once and for all. The company continues to believe in the pen.
What was it about again? The S Pen is the familiar stylus found in the Galaxy Note of yesteryear and the Galaxy Ultra of recent years. However, with the introduction of the S25 Ultra, the pen lost its Bluetooth connectivity so you can no longer use it as a remote control.

According to Samsung because too few people were using it, but fans quickly started a petition to bring the feature back in future phones. Incidentally, that petition was signed by fewer than 9,000 people, out of an estimated 500,000 sales. So removing the feature seems justified based on these numbers.
S Pen essential for Ultra
But this does not mean that the pen will disappear, Samsung to TechRadar informs us. According to Samsung, controlling your phone in multiple ways is key and they see the S Pen as something essential to the Ultra experience.
I don't see a space where the S Pen is not a key part of our portfolio
This puts the rumor of the S Pen disappearing altogether in the trash for now. However, there is a possibility that the pen will lose even more functions, but the other way around cannot be ruled out either. It all depends on how the pen is used. Something Samsung can apparently register.
