Oppo: screen edges compact Find X8s thinnest in the world
Oppo is working on a compact flagship in the Find X8 series called X8s. Despite this mini phone not being official yet, Oppo is not being very secretive about it. They are even releasing a photo of it to show the extremely thin screen edges.
In an image this Oppo posted on Weibo, we see the Oppo Find X8s next to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. That's not just an arbitrary comparison. In fact, that iPhone's screen bezels are the thinnest you can currently get. That is, until the Find X8s hits the market, because at 1.38 millimeters, it is even a bit smaller.
.The question is what's in it for you. More importantly, we think the screen bezels are the same throughout. The Oppo's screen presumably measures 6.31 inches which is considered compact these days. Especially when you have such thin screen bezels. Oppo's new compact flagship supposedly runs the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor and is said to feature a 5700 mAh battery. Not crazy for a mini smartphone!
China-only?
For now, we only know that the Oppo Find X8s is coming out in China. We don't know if a launch is in the offing outside that country as well. That would be a shame because the iPhone 16 Pro, the Pixel 9 Pro and the Samsung S25 could use some competition.

Answer to this we expect in April. That's when the unveiling of the device is scheduled and we'll likely hear more. In addition to the mini X8s, we expect the introduction of the Find X8 Ultra and Pad 4 Pro tablet.
