Samsung announces One UI 7 rollout schedule

One UI 7 rollout starts April 7

Samsung will start the official rollout of One UI 7 to existing Galaxy phones on April 7. The Galaxy S25 series and the recently announced A56, A36 and A26 came out with version 7 but so far it remained quiet when previous Galaxy phones got the new interface.

The first phones to get One UI 7 are the Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 FE, S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Z Flip 6. Other Galaxy phones and tablets will follow. That should happen in the weeks following April 7. Along with One UI 7, phones will get the long-awaited update to Android 15.

Finally One UI 7 for older Galaxy devices

One UI 7 has taken longer than usual to launch. As such, this is a major update with an all-new interface and various AI features. New in this is the Now Bar that displays information about your day on the lockscreen. Other Galaxy AI tools include AI Select, Writing Assist, Drawing Assist and Audio Eraser. These tools make it easier to create new content.

One UI for other Galaxy devices

In addition to the Galaxy S24 series, One UI 7 is being rolled out to the Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 FE, S23 Ultra, Fold 5, Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Tab S9 tablet series.

These will not include the same features as One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25. Some features require quite a bit of processing power that older models may lack. One such feature is Audio Eraser to filter out unwanted sounds from videos. This only works on the latest Galaxy phones.
