Images of the upcoming Galaxy A34 and A54 have surfaced via 91mobiles. Both are presumably budget 5G phones with waterproof housings.
We increasingly see specifications previously only seen on high-end flagships on affordable mid-range phones. First, it was colorful AMOLED screens, then punch-hole selfie cameras, and eventually, displays with high refresh rates. Something we didn't often see was a waterproof body. That may change with the Galaxy A34 and A54.
Images of both phones surfaced at 91mobiles and show two mid-range phones with a purple/blue glow. In addition to the above image, the source also shared some specifications.
Specifications A54 and A34
For example, the Galaxy A54 is expected to feature the following specifications;
- 6.4 inch FHD+ display + 120 Hz
- 50 + 12 + 5 MP camera
- 32 MP selfie cam
- Samsung Exynos 1380 + 8 GB RAM
- 128 / 256 GB storage
- 5000 mAh battery + 25 W fast charging
- IP67 waterproof case
And the Galaxy A34 is expected to feature these specifications;
- 6.6 inch FHD+ display + 120 Hz
- 48 + 8 + 5 MP camera
- 13 MP selfie cam
- MediaTek Dimensity 1080
- 6+128 or 8+256 GB of RAM/storage
- 5000 mAh + 25 W fast charging
- IP67 waterproof case
Both models are equipped with an IP rating of 67. That means they are water resistant up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. They are also resistant to dust penetration.
Galaxy A54 and A34 launch
Information about both phones has been circulating for some time. For example, both models' first renders appeared in November 2022. Therefore, we suspect that a launch is not long in coming. The next possibility is the Mobile World Congress. This phone fair starts on Feb. 27 in Barcelona.
