Germany's WinFuture has turned up new images of the Google Pixel 9a. Just when we thought there was no more material available. The new images show a thick screen bezel.
That WinFuture has these images of the Pixel 9a in its hands shows that an announcement is imminent. Normally, Google announces a new Pixel during I/O which takes place this year from May 20-21. But we expect the Google Pixel 9a earlier, possibly sometime in March.

The photos make it clear that the Google Pixel 9a will have fairly thick screen bezels. The upside, though, is that they are uniform, so there is no chin. The sides are flat and the 48MP camera barely sticks out. Google has four different colors in store for us; black, white, blue and pink.

The source concludes with the full list of specifications. Normally that would have been an article in itself, were it not for the fact that we have seen this information before. So much often leaks from Google Pixel phones that even we can't see the forest for the trees. But for completeness, here is a summary:
- Dimensions: 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9 millimeters
- Screen: 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED at 120Hz with Gorilla Glass 3
- Camera: 48MP main camera with OIS + 13MP 120° ultra-wide angle
- Memory: 8GB of RAM memory, 128 or 256GB of storage
- Processor: Tensor G4 with Titan M2 security chip
- Battery: 5100 mAh
As mentioned, we expect an announcement in March, presumably the 19th. The device should be in stores a week later, March 26. The version with 128GB storage will then cost €499, for 256GB you'll pay €599. That's a hefty premium for twice the storage.
