Oppo has announced the Reno13 series consisting of the entry-level Reno13, Reno13 Pro, Reno13 F and the Reno13 FS. All four are 5G phones with waterproof IP69 housing and AI camera. You can read where the differences do lie here.
The smallest of the four is the Oppo Reno13. The screen here measures 6.59 inches from corner to corner with a fairly different resolution of 2760 x 1256 pixels. The Reno13 Pro is the largest with a 6.83-inch panel. The maximum peak brightness for both is 1200 nits.
.These two Reno13 models do not differ in power source. In fact, Oppo applies a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 in both cases, and this is the first time we have found this chipset in a phone. The RAM memory also comes to the same number; 12GB of the faster LPDDR5X type.
Camera with AI
The difference between the Reno13 and Reno13 Pro is mainly in the rear camera. The former has a 50+8+2MP combination while the 'Pro' trades in the 2MP monochrome lens for a much more useful 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x zoom. Both phones do support Oppo's camera AI features including the AI Editor where you can polish reflections out of photos and blur backgrounds.
The Reno13 F and Reno13 FS also saw the light of day. In these, Oppo applies a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm. The only difference between these phones is the double storage memory of 512GB for the Reno13 FS and 12GB of RAM memory.
Price and availability
The entire Reno13 series is IP69 waterproof, making it suitable for taking photos underwater without a case. The Oppo Reno13 and Reno13 Pro are in stores immediately and carry a suggested retail price of 549 and 799 euros, respectively. The Reno13 F and Reno13 FS will follow March 7 for amounts of 379 and 429 euros.
