Leak: This is what the Apple iPhone 17 Air looks like
Front Page Tech has shared a video showing what they believe the iPhone 17 Air will look like. But not just the iPhone 17 Air, the entire iPhone lineup is going to be shaken up this year. So claims another well-known insider.
Apple is switching to a new iPhone design this year. We're going to notice these especially on the back. Apple will place the cameras on a bar that takes up the entire width of the device. Depending on the model, the device will then have 1, 2 or 3 cameras.
Render shared by Front Page Tech shows what the iPhone 17 Air looks like with this bar. We see one camera, presumably to keep the device as thin as possible. The Air would also have a smaller Dynamic Island according to FPT's Jon Prosser.
Experimental iPhone
As previously suggested, the iPhone 17 Air takes the place of the iPhone Plus but is not a replacement. It is a considerably more expensive model that thus rather competes with the Pro. It should be an experimental device that people are willing to pull out the wallet for.
Apple plans to use this design for the entire iPhone 17 series. For the iPhone 17 Pro, the cameras will not be placed side by side but still in the familiar triangle. Renderings of this also appeared earlier, also via FPT.
How that will be with the iPhone 17 is still unknown. On its predecessor, the cameras are below each other to enable Spatial Video for the Vision Pro. Incidentally, insider Digital Chat Station also thinks a new design is coming this year. Via a Weibo post, he reports that the look will be "radically different."
