The leaked letter that Nokia CEO Stephen Elop sent to his employees has stirred up rumours surrounding a possible shift towards Microsofts Windows Phone 7.
Microsoft is the previous employer of Nokia's CEO Stephen Elop. Given that fact, a step towards Windows Phone 7 is would be the logical one to take. Some international media cite sources inside Nokia and Microsoft, that a deal is coming soon. Tommorow, February 11th, we'll probably hear more about Elops plans.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a deal will be made very soon. Rumours that Nokia also had contact with Google about Android, are there as well, but these rumours will not become true, says the newspaper. Google, Nokia and Microsoft refuse to comment on the rumours. Now that so much has leaked about the deal, it is quite safe to assume that Nokia will announce a new OS on it smartphone, either tomorrow, February 11th, or at the MWC in Barcelona.
