Honor has now released the Magic7 Pro, which has been available in China since October 2024, in Europe. The flagship comes with the necessary AI features including Google Gemini. However, the device does differ from the Chinese version in one important respect.
And that is the battery. While that measures higher than average at 5270 mAh, it is less than the Chinese version that measures 5800 mAh. Other than that, the Magic7 Pro is thankfully no different. For example, there is a 6.8-inch, 5000 nits bright screen there with Dolby Vision support for an extra colorful experience.
Up front is a 50MP camera along with a 3D depth camera for reliable face unlocking. That makes the cutout in the screen a bit wider than you're used to. The screen is protected by Honor NanoCrystal Shield which is extra resistant to drop damage. This claim is substantiated by achieving a 5-star score on SGS's drop test. Combined with an IP68/69 water and dust resistance rating makes the Magic7 Pro can take a beating.
Honor Falcon Camera
At the back are a 50MP Honor Falcon Camera with variable f/1.4-2.0 lens with optical image stabilization. Together with the Honor Image Engine and the necessary help of AI features, this delivers richer, sharper and more colorful images. There is also a 50MP ultra-wide-angle with 122° lens and a 200MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The 1/1.4" sensor is so large that you can digitally zoom in up to 100x on it.
Subwoofer
Honor has paid extra attention to the sound. That's not just limited to using two speakers for stereo sound. There is DTS:X Ultra support for spatial sound and even a subwoofer for richer bass. As a result, Honor claims up to 10x more sound than traditional systems.
Charging the 5270 mAh large battery can be done wired with 100W and wirelessly now up to a whopping 80W. The former requires an Honor SuperCharge charger, and is included. You do have to purchase the Honor Wireless SuperCharge charger separately.
The Honor Magic7 Pro comes out in three colors; Lunar Shadow Gray, Black and Breeze Blue. Prices start from €1299.90 for the model with 12+512GB of storage. The model with 16GB+1TB seems to be exclusively destined for the Chinese market.
