Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi Note 14 consisting of no less than five phones. Among them are two 4G phones and three with 5G support. There is so much to Choose between that we wonder; isn't it a bit too much?
Let's start by listing the devices with their prices and colors:
- Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G: Midnight Black, Lavender Purple and Frost Blue with 12GB+512GB for €529.90. During the promotional period from January 15 to 29, the device will be available for a promotional price of €499.90
- Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G: Midnight Black, Lavender Purple and Coral Green with 12GB+512GB for €449.90. During the promotional period from January 15 to 29, the device will be available for a promotional price of €399.90
- Redmi Note 14 Pro: Midnight Black, Aurora Purple and Ocean Blue with 12GB+512GB for €349.90
- Redmi Note 14 5G: Midnight Black, Lavender Purple and Coral Green with 8GB+256GB for €299.90
- Redmi Note 14: Midnight Black, Mist Purple, Ocean Blue and Lime Green with 8GB+256GB8 for €249.90. During the promotional period from January 15 to 29, the device will be available for a promotional price of €199.90
It should be noted that the Redmi Note 14 and Redmi Note 14 Pro are 4G phones without 5G support. This is somewhat unusual today but can be ideal for those who really don't need it. In fact, they are €100 euros cheaper than the version with 5G.
Redmi Note 14 5G
Xiaomi is focusing on a better selfie camera with the Redmi Note 14 5G. Not only has the resolution improved, but also the brightness of the lens. That should yield better self-portraits in the dark or twilight. Also, the screen has a more than double the peak brightness of 2,100 nits.
Charging the larger 5110 mAh battery this time goes with up to 45W instead of 33W. The required charger for this is already included in the box.
Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G
The screen of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is even brighter at 3000, giving it the name CrystalRes. It is still about a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel. For those who want to shoot with at least a 200MP sharp camera, it is best to go for this Pro.
Water resistance has gone up quite a bit, from IP54 to IP68. Still there is a MediaTek processor under the hood, in this case the Dimensity 7300-Ultra.
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G
The most comprehensive in the series is the device with the cryptically named Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. Again, we find a 200MP high camera with 5110 mAh large battery. Only charging is much faster at 120W and here we find a Qualcomm chip; the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
The question remains as to which model you should go for. The answer to that will depend on what you consider important. If you necessarily want the biggest battery then you will have to consider the 4G models. If you want fast charging then you'll end up with the Redmi Note 14 Pro+.
