Personally, we associate completely flat screens with cheap. Nice and easy to make, low cost. They must have thought something like that at Apple too because they plan to give the iPhone 15 series rounded glass again.
Rounded screen edges have the advantage of making the bezel look smaller, although Apple would also make the screen edges themselves smaller. This would make the screen resemble that of the Apple Watch S8. Although this only applies to the more expensive iPhone 15 Pro. The entry-level iPhone 15 gets slightly thicker bezels, but also the Dynamic Island.
With this, Apple is equalizing the design between iPhone models, with a slightly refined design for the more expensive Pro models. Apple introduced the Dynamic Island with the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, garnering much praise. Apple has integrated the pill-shaped holes that house the cameras and Face ID components into the user interface, and thanks to various animations, it looks very natural.
Existence of iPhone 15 Plus remains unclear
What Apple wants with the iPhone 15 Plus is unclear. That model is not explicitly mentioned by the source. Reportedly, sales numbers of the iPhone 14 Plus are not doing well. So it is unclear whether Apple is working on a successor. There are rumors that Apple has scrapped the model. Whether that is actually true will be revealed in the fall of 2023. That's when Apple traditionally announces new iPhones.
