First evidence of existence of rugged Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 Pro

It is Android Authority's sleuths who were the first to find references to the device. Not only that, they also found out by which chipset the rugged device with interchangeable battery is powered. And that information does not disappoint.

Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 in January of 2024. Like other XCover models, that is a MIL-STD-810H rugged phone with removable battery. Very powerful phones are usually not, and that is also true of the XCover 7 powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor.

For the XCover 7 Pro, Samsung may be going for a chipset from Qualcomm. Android Authority found clues for the SM7635 which is the type number of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. Qualcomm announced this SoC in August of 2024 for midrange phones.

Galaxy XCover 8 Pro?

A rumor about the XCover 8 Pro's battery appeared in late 2024. It is unclear what will happen to that device, possibly it was a mistake and it is about the same phone as now. If that is true then the 7 Pro will get a 4350 mAh battery. But we are not sure about that.
