It looks like we have the first renders of the upcoming Sony Xperia 5 Plus inside. The brother of the Xperia 5 gets an even bigger screen and we see an old acquaintance again.
Images of the Xperia 5 Plus popped up at Slashleaks but are the work of @onleaks. As far as we know, this is the first time those two have worked together. As narrow as the Xperia 5 this Xperia 5 Plus does not seem to be so we dare not say that this 'Plus' has the same 21:9 CinemaWide Display.
However, thanks to its dimensions, we know that it has a 6.6-inch flat screen. On the back of three cameras plus what looks like a ToF sensor. At the front is a single self-iecam. The fingerprint scanner is on the side and, strikingly, on top we find a 3.5mm headphone port. It was missing from the regular Sony Xperia 5. We already thought that was strange because it allowed Sony to differentiate itself. Many other manufacturers have recently removed the gate. When Sony will officially announce this Xperia 5 Plus is still the big question. That could happen soon. The CES fair has started and Sony is no stranger to it. Otherwise the MWC will be a good second option at the end of February.
