OnePlus has officially announced the OnePlus 11 in Mainland China. The rest of the world has to be patient for a while, but in the meantime, we can enjoy some camera samples shot by the Hasselblad camera. And they look promising.
The OnePlus 11 is one of the first smartphones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Not only is this chipset faster thanks to a new design, but the new LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 memory also provides significant speed gains.
The front of the OnePlus 11 consists of a 6.7-inch 2K display with fast 120Hz playback and Dolby Vision support. Because the Always-On-Display can switch to 1Hz when there is no activity, energy is saved. You would think that shouldn't be necessary with a large 5000 mAh, especially since there is 100W fast charging available. Charging the phone for ten minutes is enough for a half-full battery. If you want a full charge that should take 25 minutes.
Hasselblad camera
Special attention has been paid to the rear camera. The OnePlus 11 has a Hasselblad camera system consisting of a 50MP primary camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). The lens consists of 6 elements and has an aperture of f/1.8. But you can also shoot pictures with the 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera and its wide 115° lens or the 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Unfortunately, that range is a bit disappointing though it manages to stretch it to 20x digitally.
It didn't take long for sample photos of the camera system of the OnePlus 11 to reach social media. And these did not disappoint. It is possible that OnePlus handed out numerous review models right after the launch in China. These sample photos usually give a slightly better idea of the camera's capabilities than the sample photos provided by the manufacturer itself.
The rest of the world will have to wait until Feb. 7. Only then will OnePlus announce the 11 there as well. The exact prices are unfortunately not yet known.
