A store in Brazil has already set up a corner for the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra. And Walmart from the US has already listed the Galaxy S24+ on their website. It's all not intended, but that's what you get when Samsung distributes press materials early.
We look forward to the launch of the latest Galaxy S series every year. We collectively count down for the Unpacked Event to begin, only to discover that the NDA deadline has expired, and numerous sites and stores publish reviews and specifications simultaneously. Why would anyone then still want to watch an hour-long presentation?
That distribution of press material happens weeks in advance. And where people work, mistakes are made. That's precisely why you see so much S24 material now. Like in Brazil, where a local Samsung store or retailer has already set up a corner for the S24 Ultra. In Portuguese, we read, "With the Power of Galaxy AI."
Titanium
The fact that the Galaxy S24 series relies heavily on AI, aka artificial intelligence, has been written extensively. The footage further shows the Galaxy S24 Ultra in a titanium color, similar to the "Natural Titanium" version of the iPhone 15 Pro. Apple adopted this new material, starting with the iPhone 15 series, and now Samsung is following suit.
Also S24+ online
A little further north in the United States, Walmart also made a mistake. They already put the S24+ online. This should not have been done until January 17, when Samsung is holding its Unpacked event. Walmart quickly rectified the error, but not before PhoneArena saved the image below.
Again, if Samsung is reading this, we advise distributing images only after the Unpacked Event ends. Yes, websites have a little less time to put their preview or press release online, but it prevents these kinds of leaks. And it gives average consumers a reason to watch your expensive Unpacked Event.
