Asus has scheduled the unveiling of the Zenfone 12 Ultra for Feb. 6. To warm up the public for this, it has made a video in which the device figures briefly. And because of this, we can already reveal one feature.
Many phones have to do without one these days; a 3.5mm audio jack. We used to see the headphone port often but since every manufacturer wants to promote their own wireless earbuds, that's been over. Asus is holding on stubbornly and seems to be equipping the upcoming Zenfone 12 Ultra just with it.
We see the device briefly in a video posted by the Taiwanese company on X. Someone is listening to music and we can clearly see wired earphones running to the device. As was more common in the past. The video doesn't reveal much additional information other than a green version and a single selfie camera in the middle.
February 6 unveiling
The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra will succeed the 11 Ultra from March 2024. That will happen on Feb. 5 at 14:30 Taiwan time (GMT+8). Asus promises the necessary AI features with excellent camera features.
It was previously leaked that the Zenfone 12 Ultra will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip just like the ROG Phone 9 Pro. As such, the latter phone will be largely based on the latter.
