How big can a camera on the back of a phone be? Of course, it's allowed to protrude a bit, but when is it too much? We wonder because pictures of the Oppo Find X6 have surfaced and show a rather large camera island. What do you think?
Gone are the days when your cell phone cameras all sat entirely inside the casing. We already see some pretty extreme cases where the cameras stick out considerably. Oppo thinks it can be even more radical and has a whole plateau of cameras rising out of the back of its new Find X6.
The whole thing is somewhat reminiscent of the camera module of the POCO X4 Pro, but even more significant. Despite looking rather comical, it is practical in a way. Your mobile always lies stable on a table without wobbling. However, case manufacturers have one more concern: how do you make a case for something like this without the result being too thick?
Find X6 specifications
The site that discovered the images suggests that the successor to the Oppo Find X5 will soon be announced. With that, the design seems to be final; thus, we are not looking at a prototype. However, expected specifications will likely be a 6.7-inch large screen, a trio of 50MP cameras, and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
For the Find X6 Pro, Oppo has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 in store. What the two further have in common is a Hasselblad camera. Oppo also teamed up with this Swedish camera manufacturer for the Find X5 series.
