The new light green color of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro was already announced, but now it is available. It is the same price as the existing colors Hazel, Obsidian, and Rose.
New year, new color. That's what Google must have thought when they came up with this idea. In itself, the mint green color looks pretty good on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. At least it looks fresh. The good news is that you can immediately buy both Pixel phones in this new color.
Why Google did opt for green is a mystery. We know that Google has already released a case in a corresponding color. Buyers in the U.S. get it temporarily for free. Unfortunately, the offer does not apply elsewhere.
Difference between Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro
Google introduced the Pixel 8 series in October 2023. The devices use the third-generation Tensor chipset that Google designed itself. Although the processor performs poorly compared to the latest Qualcomm chipsets, the devices are very fluid. This is mainly because, as the developer of both, Google can tweak Android and Tensor to maximize performance.
The difference between the Google Pixel 8 Pro and the Pixel 8 lies mainly in a larger, sharper, and brighter display and the presence of a 48MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom thanks to a periscope lens. Should you not need all those extra features, you can save 280 euros and better choose the Google Pixel 8 instead.
