Samsung introduced Gorilla Armor 2 glass on the S25 Ultra. That glass can now survive falls up to 2.2 meters and still reflects little light, just like Gorilla Armor 1. But a photo comparison with the S24 Ultra shows another difference.
Samsung paid little attention to Gorilla Armor 2 during the unveiling of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This is not justified because the first generation of Gorilla Armor proved to have very effective anti-reflective properties. What improvements does version 2 bring us?
Especially when the sun starts to shine outside then unwanted reflections are very annoying. Manufacturers have solved this in recent years by increasing peak brightness. The S25 Ultra offers the benefits of both worlds; high peak brightness as well as an anti-reflective coating. And comparing that to the screen on the S24 Ultra, it seems even improved.
So says a photo by @theonecid on X. This photo shows above the S24 Ultra with a little bit of reflection of light. This does not appear to be the case below with the S25 Ultra. Now this is anything but a scientific comparison; a different angle could also explain this outcome.
Would like more proof
You might expect Corning to go out of their way to highlight the extra anti-reflective light in their press release. But they haven't. So we first want to see more evidence that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra handles unwanted light even better.
