OnePlus has added two flagships. The OnePlus 13 is the most comprehensive you can get while the 13R offers the most value for money. Which model you should go for we try to find out here.
Leader of the bunch is the OnePlus 13, which was developed together with Hasselblad. This results in a device that is excellent for taking portrait photos. Even with fast movements thanks to the Clear Burst technology. This allows you to quickly shoot razor-sharp photos.
The OnePlus 13 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with a hefty 6000 mAh battery. Combined with 12 or even 16GB of RAM memory, it delivers powerful performance. OnePlus claims 45% better performance while being 27% more energy efficient. Graphics performance goes up 40%. This makes the OnePlus 13 great for gaming.
Charging can be done with up to 100W wired and 50W wireless. The latter does require the special AirVooc charger. Expect the OnePlus 13 in Midnight Ocean, Arctic Dawn and Black Eclipse and with 256 or 512GB of storage. Prices temporarily start from €999. You will receive a discount and Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore speakers or the OnePlus Watch 2R worth €279 during the launch.
OnePlus 13R
For €250 less, get the OnePlus 13R. OnePlus puts a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and a slightly less sharp display here. Also missing is the Hasselblad designation although we suspect the triple camera still shoots fine photos.
Like the 13, the OnePlus 13R runs under the new OxygenOS 15 which is based on Android 15. OnePlus has optimized the operating system so that it is faster and takes up less space. This leaves you with more space for your own content.
OnePlus 13R price and availability
The 13R is available in Nebula Noir and Astral Trail and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is priced at €749. Also with this phone, you will temporarily get a Watch 2R smartwatch as a gift.
