Samsung Colombia accidentally posted the invitation for Galaxy Unpacked on its website. During this event, the Galaxy S23 series is expected to be released. The invitation has since disappeared, but we now know enough.
The first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2023 will be held on Feb. 1st. In Spanish, we read, "Epic moments are coming." Exactly what Samsung is referring to with the latter is unclear.
The invitation was not meant to be sent out today; Samsung Colombia has since taken it offline. Ice Universe was fortunately quick enough to make a copy.
Three cameras
The invitation further shows three separate cameras. With the S22 and S22+, these are sitting together on an elevated corner. This Contour Cut style will disappear with the introduction of the S23 series.
If you play a bit with the exposure of the image above, you can see that the bottom camera has a so-called periscope lens. This allows optical zooming. We currently assume that only the S23 Ultra will get a periscope lens. Thus, the cameras shown most likely belong to the most comprehensive model in the S23 series.
Organic colors
The image further shows a green leaf and a lilac-colored flower. This is no coincidence. Earlier, the green version was rumored to be named 'Botanic Green' and the purple variant 'Misty Lilac.' Other expected colors are 'Cotton Flower' and 'Phantom Black.'
Market researcher Ross Young expects more color versions for the Galaxy S23 Ultra in addition to earlier mentioned four colors. He also expects "Gray," "Light Blue," "Light Green," and "Red. Samsung may sell these colors exclusively through its own sales channels. It uses a similar strategy with the Galaxy S and Z series.
